THE KENTUCKY CHECKER TOURNAMENT will be held October 22-23, 2011 at La Quinta Inn, 1751 Lexington Road, Richmond, Kentucky 40475.(map) There will be 7 rounds of two games each - four rounds Saturday beginning at 8:00 a.m.; three rounds Sunday, same start time. The La Quinta is furnishing the playing room free based on 15 players taking rooms in the motel; rooms rent $45.95 plus tax per day. For reservations call 859-623-9121. Advise the clerk this is for the Kentucky Checker Tournament. Free continental breakfast and swim pool. Room reserve options until October 1st.
